Kathy Burke loves photography. It has been her life long passion ever since she was a child and asked for a camera for Christmas!
In 2001 Kathy and her husband Mark moved back from London to Ireland to start their family and it was while she was a “stay at home mum” she decided to study her craft and enrolled in the DIT School of Photography. She hasn’t looked back since!
In 2008 Kathy was awarded a Licentiate of the Irish Photographic Federation and in 2010 she was awarded a Licentiate of the Irish Professional Photographers Association.
In 2011, with the encouragement and support of Mark, their three children and her parents, Kathy fulfilled her dream and opened a Boutique Photography Studio in the beautiful village of Riverstown, Sligo in the community where she had made her home.
Since then, Kathy’s business has grown and expanded and she currently enjoys a wide range of photography including Weddings, Portraits, Fashion, Corporate, Schools and Creches.
Due to a large percentage of her clientele coming from Sligo town, in December 2019 Kathy was SO excited to return to her Sligo roots and opened a second Studio in Millennium House Courtyard, Stephen Street (F91 E7KH).
Please feel free to browse the examples of her work.
Kathy would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has supported this small Irish business. Thank you.
“One doesn’t stop seeing. One doesn’t stop framing. It doesn’t turn off and turn on. It’s on all the time.”
